Last Wednesday evening, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) hosted a stargazing event in our schoolyard for some of the junior classes and their families. It was a fun night spent learning about the night sky and looking at planets and stars in telescopes – Jupiter’s moons were certainly a highlight!
The RASC puts on public “star parties” and other events from time to time, so if you are interested, here is the local RASC site and a few other links for anyone interested in learning more about stargazing and astronomy:
