The following information is provided to assist you making advance preparations for the safety of your children, should it be necessary to close the school either for the whole day or during the school day. Severe weather conditions, power failure, breakdown of the heating system and flooding are a few of the events for which we must be prepared for and may may necessitate an emergency dismissal. i) The following procedures apply to any emergency school closing whether due to deteriorating weather or some other unforseen circumstance.
ii) If we were to evacuate to our emergency alternate site, we would initiate our emergency closing plans from that site.
- Parents may also pick their child(ren) up early in the event of an emergency.
- School will resume the following day unless another closing is announced.
- BUS STUDENTS: If the bus brings them to school, it will take them home. IF BUSES DO NOT RUN AND YOU DROP YOUR CHILDREN OFF AT SCHOOL PERSONALLY, GETTING YOUR CHILDREN HOME IS ALSO YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
- Please be certain that the office always has up to date emergency contact information for your children.
