Preston Public School provides a positive and caring school environment for all of our students.  Through our character attributes of caring, cooperation and initiative we strive to help our students grow into positive and resilient members of the community.

 

 

Part of preparing our students for an ever-changing world is helping them think of big ideas.  The Q-chart is one of the tools we use to promote higher order thinking.

 

 

We work hard to provide our students with engaging learning opportunities.  We know that meaningful choice and peer interactions are important elements of successful learning and those strategies are important parts of our school success plan and the implementation of full-day kindergarten.

 

 

An active school council and strong community connections are important parts of the supporting and collaborative learning environment that we provide at Preston PS. We also value the many opportunities our students have for leadership and contributing to the community.
