With the first phase of our greening project completed, the Greening Committee would like to thank the following donors for their generous support of this project:

  • Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation – $1,000
  • Toyota Everygreen Learning Grounds, with a special thank you to Cambridge Toyota on Eagle St. – $1,300
  • Isley Landscaping, for their excellent workmanship and donation of $1,000 worth of materials

Friends and family of PPS through participation in our fund-raising efforts including, Little Caesar Pizza kits, Worlds Finest Chocolates and QSP Magazines – $6,500

A special thank you to our Evergreen representative, Krista Long, for her excellent design work and endless support of this project.  We would also like to thank Mr. West, for bringing this initiative to Parent Council and being an active member of the Greening Committee.

We look forward to the next phase of this project, which will include the expansion of the all-day kindergarten area, the create of our “panda forest” and the addition of more native trees, shrub and plant species.

Wondering how you can help make this project a reality for our kids and our community? Here’s what you can do to help:

    • Check with companies and corporations you or family members work for or any clubs of which you may be members to see if they offer any grants or donations towards school greening projects. We will fill in any applications or write any letters required. If you have a lead for us please email greener.leslie@gmail.com with the details.
  • Help our fundraising events. Our current fundraiser is the Little Caesar Pizza Kits and all profits earned will go towards this project.

A donations of $15 or more will receive tax receipt. Maybe a family member such as a grandparent or a neighbour want to contribute.  It’s a community project.

Thanks,

The Greening Committee
