Good afternoon parents/guardians,

I hope everyone (our Distance Learning students, and our In Person students) had a safe and healthy Winter Break.

This message is for those students engaged in In Person learning.  Those who are in a Distance Learning class, your routine will remain the same.

For our In Person students ….We are looking forward to connecting with our Preston students tomorrow and throughout the week – although this will be done remotely as schools are closed by order of the Ministry of Education.

Classroom teachers will be connecting with you and your child on Monday mid morning/afternoon and then each day Tuesday to Friday.

The learning will look and feel different than In-Person learning.  There will be opportunities to connect with the teacher synchronously (video chat or phone call), and opportunities for your child to engage in school work through asynchronous learning experiences (tasks posted to the Google Classroom).

Families that require a device to engage in remote learning are to email the school at: pre@wrdsb.ca

Please indicate your child’s name, classroom, and the device number they have been using (if they know it).

Some families may choose not to engage in Remote Learning this week.  If this is your decision, please let us know of this decision, and feel free to use the learning materials at the wrdsb@home site.

The plan is to return to In Person learning on January 11th.  Please stay connected via media, emails, and websites for information updates in case this changes.

We as a staff look forward to connecting with your child and engaging in learning opportunities in this remote learning week.

As always, feel free to contact us should you have any questions. (pre@wrdsb.ca)
